Biography:

Laigui Wang, male, born in June 1962, Doctor of Engineering, professor of Liaoning University of Engineering and Technology, doctoral supervisor, doctoral program leader of engineering mechanics, graduated from Fuxin Mining Institute in 1984, 1988, bachelor's and master's degrees, respectively, and in 1995, Northeastern University, a doctoral degree in engineering mechanics, in 1998, Chengdu University of Technology, postdoctoral research work, mainly engaged in rock mechanics and application of research. In 1998, he completed his postdoctoral research at Chengdu University of Science and Technology, mainly engaged in the research of rock mechanics and application. He is mainly engaged in rock mechanics and application research. He has served as a member of the Education Committee of the Rock Mechanics and Engineering Society, a member of the Environmental Geotechnics Committee, an executive director of the Northeast Branch, and an editorial board member of the China Journal of Geological Hazards and Prevention and Journal of Liaoning University of Engineering and Technology. He is a member of the Expert Review Group of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and one of the first experts of the Ministry of Land and Resources to review the program of geological environment protection and restoration of mine management. He was awarded the titles of Trans-century Academic Leader of the former Ministry of Coal, Coal Industry Top Talent, Liaoning Province Outstanding Young and Middle-aged Academic Leader, and was selected as one of the "One Hundred Million Project" of Liaoning Province. He has presided over five key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), including "Research on Key Scientific Problems of Coal Resource Mining in Harmony with the Environment", five surface projects and international cooperation projects, and 13 provincial (ministerial) projects, including the Special Research Fund for Doctoral Discipline Points in Higher Education Institutions and the Provincial Natural Science Foundation, etc. He has published the book "Motion Stability of Rock Mechanics System". He has published 4 books, including "Theory and Application of Rock Mechanics System Motion Stability", in "Computational Materials Science", "Advances in Natural Science", "Rock Mechanics System Motion Stability Theory and Application", "Advances in Natural Science", "Rock Mechanics System Motion Stability Theory and Application", and other books. He has published more than 200 academic papers in "Computational Materials Science", "Advances in Natural Science", "Journal of Rock Mechanics and Engineering" and other academic journals. He has received five provincial and ministerial awards for scientific and technological progress; in 1996, 2003, and 2006, he went to Moscow University of Mining and Technology, Russia, Akita University, Japan, and the University of Toronto, Canada to research the international cooperation projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, etc. He was a visiting scholar at the University of Oxford, UK, during the period of 2010.12 to 2011.5. He has trained 60 postdoctoral, doctoral, and master's degree students.

Assoc. Prof. Jiwei Wen

Biography:

Dr. Jiwei Wen is an Associate Professor in Civil Engineering, specializing in the fields of Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering, Trenchless Technology, and Drilling & Tunneling Engineering. He holds B.A. and Ph.D. from Jilin University in 2009 and 2014. Later, he worked at Dept. Geological Engineering, College of Environment and Civil Engineering, Chengdu University of Technology. In the meantime, he has finished postdoctoral research at the State Key Laboratory of Geohazard Prevention and Geoenvironment Protection (SKLGP), Chengdu University of Technology. Moreover, he studied at the Trenchless Technology Center at Louisiana Tech University as a Visiting Scholar from 2017 to 2018, USA. Now, he changed his work to Dept. Underground Engineering, School of Civil Engineering, Shijiazhuang Tiedao University, China. So far, he has presided over more than ten scientific research programs, main including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Application Fundamental Research Programs of Sichuan Science and Technology Agency, National Key Laboratory Open Fund Projects, etc. In addition, he has published more than 20 papers, and authorized 10 national invention patents and 25 utility model patents. Furthermore, he is the reviewer of many international academic journals which are collected by SCI and domestic academic journals, such as the Journal of Cleaner Production, Petroleum Science, Journal of the Brazilian Society of Mechanical Sciences and Engineering, Water Science and Engineering, Journal of Cluster Science, Coal Geological & Exploration, and Drilling Engineering, etc.
