Prof. Echuan Yan

Biography:

Echuan Yan, male, born in January 1969. D. (199806), professor (200306), doctoral supervisor (200406). He is the deputy director of the National Youth Committee of Engineering Geology, executive director of Hubei Youth Science Association, member of the 11th Committee of Hubei Youth Federation, and member of the Expert Group on Geological Hazard Prevention and Control in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area of the Ministry of Land and Resources, etc. He completed his post-doctoral research in November 2001 at the China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). He is now mainly engaged in scientific research and teaching in engineering geology, geotechnical engineering and environmental geology, with research interests in geotechnical stability, monitoring and forecasting of geologic hazards. Since 1995, he has participated in more than 40 projects, of which 5 are under research and the rest have been completed. Among them: as the main backbone to complete 6 national projects; as the main backbone to complete the provincial and ministerial level research projects, 16; presided over the completion of 13 horizontal collaborative projects; as the main backbone to complete the horizontal collaborative projects, 9. Since 1997, in domestic and international public journals published more than 60 academic papers, of which 33 papers have been recognized by the SCAE. Among them, 33 papers have been indexed by SCI (2, SCIE 1), EI (16, core 14) and ISTP (15), 30 papers have been indexed by CSCD, and three monographs have been written. He has taken the lead in carrying out pilot studies on the informatization control engineering design of landslides in the reservoir area of the Three Gorges Project, put forward the basic framework system and evaluation indexes in the study on the evaluation of disaster prevention and control effects in the reservoir area of the Three Gorges Project, and put forward the systematic evaluation theories in geotechnical engineering problems of slopes in complex geological environments.

Prof. Zhiqiang Zhang

Southeast University, China

Biography:

Zhang Zhiqiang, male, professor, doctoral supervisor, national registered first class structural engineer. He is currently the  secretary of the branch of the Department of Construction and Engineering of Southeast University, vice president of the Institute of Civil and Municipal Design of Southeast University, deputy director of the Earthquake Resistance and Vibration Reduction Center of Building Engineering, member of the Jiangsu Society of Seismic Engineering, member of the Isolation and Vibration Reduction Department of the China Association of Survey and Design, vibration engineering professional committee, and seismic professional committee. His research interests include seismic resistance, wind resistance and vibration control of large and complex structures, seismic resistance, shock absorption and isolation reinforcement of existing buildings, comfort control of long-span and high-rise structures, and structural health monitoring. He has presided over and participated in a number of key projects and general projects of NSFC, the National Science and Technology Support Plan and more than ten provincial and ministerial level vertical projects. He has published more than 100 papers and more than 10 invention patents in core journals at home and abroad. He is the reviewer of Journal of Structural Engineering, Journal of Building Structure, Journal of Vibration and Shock, Journal of Vibration Engineering, Journal of Tongji University, Journal of Building Structure and Industrial Architecture, etc.
