Prof. Jing Wang

School of Qilu Transportation, Shandong University, China

Biography:

Jing Wang, Professor, is a national-level young talent and a Taishan Scholars Young Expert. He serves as Director of the Intelligent Construction Professional Committee of the Shandong Rail Transit Society, and as an expert of the “Sci-Tech China” Industrial Scientific and Technological Service Team for Engineering Intelligent Construction and Smart Operation & Maintenance. He has led more than 10 research projects, including a National Key R&D Program project (subproject) and projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and has participated in more than 20 engineering projects, including Jinan Metro, the Yellow River Crossing Tunnel, and the Second Undersea Tunnel of Jiaozhou Bay. He has received five awards, including the First Prize of the Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, the First Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of the China Transportation Association, the First Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of the China Railway Society, the Gold Award of the First National Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and the First Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of the China Highway Society. He is the chief editor of one Shandong provincial standard and one group standard, and has participated in the compilation of one international standard, three local standards, and three group standards. He has published two monographs and one textbook; as first author or corresponding author, he has published more than 30 high-level papers, of which two were selected as “ESI Highly Cited Papers” and “Hot Papers.” He has been granted three U.S. patents, two PCT patents, and 37 Chinese invention patents (15 as first inventor), as well as 13 software copyrights (6 as first author). He has delivered more than 20 special academic lectures, including four international lectures. He has supervised students who won the Silver and Bronze Awards in the national “Internet+” Competition, the National Undergraduate Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program, the Gold Award in the Shandong Provincial “Internet+” Competition, the First Prize in the 13th Shandong Provincial College Student Science and Technology Innovation Competition, and the First Prize of the Shandong Provincial Teaching Achievement Award.

Prof. Xinghai Lang

Chengdu University of Technology, China

Biography:

Xinghai Lang, male, PhD, Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor, was born in July 1982 in Jingdong County, Yunnan Province. He began teaching in the Department of Resource Exploration Engineering, School of Earth Sciences, Chengdu University of Technology in July 2012, was promoted to Associate Professor in 2014, and was exceptionally promoted to Professor in 2017. His main research interests include the genesis and exploration/evaluation of metal deposits, as well as regional geological evolution and metallogenic processes. He is a member of the Youth Working Committee of the Geological Society of China, a core member of the Ministry of Natural Resources’ “Technology Innovation Team for Exploration, Evaluation, and Research of Large to Giant Mineral Deposits in Major Metallogenic Belts of Tibet,” and a full-time researcher at the Ministry of Natural Resources’ “Key Laboratory of Tectonic Control on Ore- and Hydrocarbon-Formation.” In 2014, he was selected for the Sichuan Provincial Program for Cultivating Outstanding Young Academic and Technical Leaders, and in 2020 he received funding from the Sichuan Outstanding Young Science and Technology Talent Program. He serves as an external review expert for the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Hebei Provincial Science and Technology Program, and the Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Program. He is also a peer reviewer for journals including Scientific Reports, Gondwana Research, Ore Geology Reviews, Lithos, International Geology Review, Journal of Asian Earth Sciences, Geological Magazine, Journal of Geochemical Exploration, Geosciences Journal, Geological Journal, Australian Journal of Earth Sciences, Acta Geochimica, China Geology, Acta Petrologica Sinica, Mineral Deposits, Chinese Journal of Nonferrous Metals, Sedimentary Geology and Tethyan Geology, and Mineral Exploration.

Prof. Mohamed Ismail

Brunel London School North China University of Technology, China

Biography:

Prof. Ismail is currently working at Dept. of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Brunel London School North China University of Technology, Beijing, China since Sept. 2023. Before that, he was working as a full professor at Dept. of Civil Engineering, Miami College of Henan University, Kaifeng, China from October 2018 until Aug. 2023. Before joining Miami College, Prof. Ismail was working as an Associate Professor at Civil and Construction Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering and Science, Curtin University Malaysia, Sarawak, Malaysia. He received his B. Sc. and M. Sc. Degrees from Alexandria University, Egypt in 1991 and 1996, respectively and his PhD from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore in 2003. Prof. Ismail teaches undergraduate courses in Civil Engineering Materials, Concrete Technology, Engineering Mechanics, Reinforced Concrete Structural Design, Engineering and Environmental Principles and Theories, Construction Management, Concrete Laboratory, Mechanics of Solids, Structural Analysis and Fluid mechanics. For graduate students, he teaches courses in Advanced Concrete Technology and Advanced Structural Analysis. His research work includes Concrete Technology, Smart Materials in Construction, High Performance Concrete, Durability of Concrete, NDT, Arc Thermal Metal Spray Technology, Sustainable Building Materials and Protection Methods of Reinforced Concrete Structures. Prof. Ismail has extensive teaching and research experiences over 25 years in Canada, South Korea, Malaysia, Egypt, Japan and China. He also had broad experience at Engineering Consultancies and Oil & Gas Firms. Prof. Ismail has published more than 120 papers in referred Journals and International Conferences and 5 Books. He served as a reviewer for many International Journals, Editorial Board Member of few journals and Editor-in-chief of Challenge Journal of Concrete research letters.

Prof. Yu Zhang

Northeastern University, China

Biography:

Yu Zhang, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor. He obtained his bachelor's degree from Hohai University in 2007, his doctoral degree from Hohai University in 2012, and his doctoral degree from Université de Lille (France) in 2014. He is currently the Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of Deep Engineering and Smart Technology of Liaoning Province at Northeastern University, focusing on solving underground engineering challenges in the field of clean energy development and storage. He has led projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, including general and youth programs, major national project collaborations, provincial natural science foundations, youth programs, and municipal applied basic research projects. He has published over 80 high-level SCI and EI journal papers as the first or corresponding author, with several recognized as ESI highly cited papers, hot papers, and Top Academic Papers of the 5000 Leaders in Chinese Excellent Science and Technology Journals. He holds 18 authorized invention patents, with a single invention patent achieving industrial transformation worth over a million yuan. He has received the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from Qingdao City, two Third Prizes for Scientific and Technological Progress from Shandong Province, and a Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation. He has been recognized as a "High-Caliber Scarce Talent (Intellectual Island Program)" by Qingdao City and received the Excellent Young Science and Technology Talent Award in the field of Mining, Petroleum, and Safety Engineering from Chinese universities. Currently, he serves as a member of the Multi-field Coupling Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Rock Mechanics and Engineering, a member of the Low Carbon Energy Rock Mechanics and Engineering Professional Committee, a council member of the Shandong Society of Rock Mechanics and Engineering, and an executive editorial board member of the Journal of Petroleum Science Bulletin.
